Matera is a city and province in the region of Basilicata in southern Italy. The town is situated above a canyon eroded by a small stream called the Gravina. Humans have lived in the area of Matera since prehistoric times and the town is known for its many caves in which people have lived for millenia. Matera has been the filming location for many movies including The Passion of the Christ.
Lincoln Cathedral is a historic cathedral located in Lincoln in England and seat of the Bishop of Lincoln in the Church of England. Building commenced in 1088 and continued in several phases throughout the medieval period. It was reputedly the tallest building in the world for 249 years (1300–1549).
